super ferret play time !

if you have only one it is up to you to be playing with them when they are out and keep them entertained. Having more than one makes things easier because if you dont have the time to play with them when they are out, they have another ferret buddy to keep them company. I have 3 ferrets atm and they do a very good job of entertaining each other when i am busy doing something around the house.

without a doubt, they’re a stitch when 2 of them tackle each other. the keeping warm part i’m not afraid of because on many frequent occasions, i plan on snuggling my ferret in my sweater when the cold air shoots in. i couldn’t imagine not wanting to buy him endless amounts of toys and little hammocks to nap in. i’ll pretty much always have him by my side

i’ve never had only one, but i think they have a lot more fun together, and they have another body to cuddle and keep warm with. plus they can keep each other entertained if you have things to do. their antics in a pair are far more entertaining, like doublemint gum, except you don’t chew on them.

to anyone who may be able to answer:

is it better to have more than just one ferret in ur house? because i’m seeing a lot of videos now and noticing that 99% of the people on here have at least 2 ferrets. does it serve for a better playful atmosphere for the ferret if he/she has a little buddy to run around with? or are they just as capable of having fun with a full grown man? i’m getting one next year as a housewarming gift so i have time to think.

Are they particularly agressive? Being predators in the wild and all?

MizzG, ferrets are domesticated, they cannot survive if abandoned in the wild! If they don’t learn as kits to hunt and eat meat, they never will. So there’s no way huge feral ferret populations are a worry. And no one’s outlawed cats on the grounds that they disturb the food chain when feral, which they actually do.

This is kind of an old topic, but just wanted to add in my two cents… Ferrets are illegal in CA because they are an invasive animal species, thus are harmful to the environment. They disrupt many native food cycles and such, and sadly people can’t be trusted to keep good enough care of their ferrets so that they don’t escape or are released into the wild

hey i just put a video of my ferret on you should check it out but i used my webcam so it was hard to get her doing everything but i put a bunch of shoe sole things (which she stole out of our shoes) and a long tube and got a video of it but uhhhh…….check it out lol

i have one ferret she is albino and she so lazy but then a little while later she all like hey lemme out i wanna run a marathon
